Graduate Research Assistant
Montrischa Williams is an I-STEM graduate research assistant working on the I-STEM High School Summer Research Experience Evaluation. Montrischa received her B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Education from UC Irvine and her EdM in Educational Policy Studies from UIUC. She is currently working on her doctoral degree in Educational Policy in the College of Education at Illinois with a specialization in Evaluation. Prior to joining I-STEM, Montrischa served as a Research Assistant on a project funded by the National Science Foundation, directed by Dr. William Trent, in the College of Education that examined underrepresented undergraduate students’ participation in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields at large, public, research universities. Her research interest includes examining issues of access and retention along the educational pipeline for underrepresented students in addition to examining the impact of educational programs on student outcomes and academic success.
